Powering On the System

The Gully's Bar has a built-in speaker system can be found in the cabinets behind the bar and between the two wall mounted TVs. The cabinet doors are made of slats and have no locks.

To turn the system on, open the cabinet locate the main power switch, which is a red switch located at the bottom of the rack and labeled "main power". When the switch is in the "on" position it should light up.

Next, ensure that the power switch on the mixer is turned on. This is also labeled "Power"

Next to the mixer's power are the audio levels for the different "zones" of Gully's. Turn the knobs up slowly to about the 10 o'clock position. The system is now powered on and active.

Using the House Mic

The audio system has the ability to mix together a built-in microphone, the RockBot music player, audio from an HDMI input cable. The system also has the ability to play the mixed audio through speakers in the Bar area, the Lounge area, and outside speakers. The volume of those three areas can be adjusted without impacting the other areas.

The house microphone should be located in the drawer below the main power switch. When you need to use it, remove it from the drawer and turn it on with the switch located on the side of the microphone. The small screen above the switch should light up briefly. If it does not power on, verify that there are batteries with charge inside of the mic and replace as needed.

To test the mic, hold it up to your mouth and speak at a normal speaking volume while slowly turning up the knob labeled "House Mic" on the mixer. The most comfortable level is going to vary depending on who is speaking, the number of people in the room, and whether or not there is any background music playing. The most important thing to avoid is letting the volume "peak" which is indicated when the red light above the volume knob lights up, as this can cause audio distortion and possibly damage the speakers.

At the end of your event, please be sure to power down the mic and return it to its drawer.

Using the Rock Bot

The Rock Bot is a system for playing music through the sound system. It is automatically powered up as long as there is power to the PA, so all you should need to do is raise the volume knob labeled "Rock Bot" to a comfortable level. Note that the system automatically stops playing music at 11 pm. The overall PA system remains operational.

HDMI In

There is a single HDMI input cable located at the equipment rack that feeds into an HAE100 audio de-imbedder. The audio output of the HAE100 goes into mixer port 4. The video output of the HAE is fed into the wall mounted TV that is above and to the left of the equipment rack.
