If you experience issues connecting your Endicott-issued MacBook to an unsecured (no password required) Wireless Network with a Captive Portal, please try the steps below to remedy the issue:

  1. Press the Command key (⌘) + spacebar at the same time to open Spotlight search.
  2. Search for "sophos" and click on Sophos Endpoint Self Help from the results list.
  3. Click on Captive Portal Mode on the left-hand side. Click Enable.
  4. When prompted, enter your computer credentials to allow the change. Click OK.

  5. Your window should look like this after Captive Portal Mode is enabled. You will have five minutes to connect to the unsecured Wireless Network after you have enabled Captive Portal Mode.
  6. Close the window and connect to the wireless network by accepting the Captive Portal Agreement. Your connection should establish successfully.

Sophos Captive Portal Mode will disable itself automatically at the end of the five-minute window, but you will remain connected until your wireless session ends. To reauthenticate to the open network, repeat the steps above.
