Input 15 - ShareLink

- At the metal equipment rack at the far end of the room, there will be two remotes to turn on the Samsung TVs. Both of them are (or should be) set to HDMI 1/DVI.

- Mounted at the top of the metal equipment you will find an HDMI KVM Switch. Input 15 needs to be selected to display content wirelessly from a personal device. To do so, press the 1+ and then 5 button. You will know the correct input has been selected when 15 is displayed on the LED screen.

- Once Input 15 is selected it will take no more than 5 seconds until an image appears on the TVs. Once it does, you will see an IP Address listed in the bottom left corner of the screen (10.216.133.75). Go into a web browser on your person device and enter the IP Address into the web address bar > press enter.

- Once you go to that IP Address, you will now see a screen in your browser like the one pictured below. Click the SHARE  button.

The webpage that IP Address takes you to

- You will likely get a warning saying "Your connection is not private." Click on the Advanced button. At the bottom of the page you will see a button that says "Proceed to 10.216.133.75" > click this.

-You will now be prompted to enter a 4 digit code (this will change every time someone stops sharing their screen). It can be found along the bottom of the TV screens next to the IP Address. Then enter your name and click connect.

- You will now select what content on the device you want to share.

- To stop sharing, click the Stop Sharing button. You can also close out of any ShareLink tabs in your web browser. After you've done so, a new 4 digit code will be generated for the next person who wants to share.

Volume Control

- Underneath the HDMI KVM Switch on the metal equipment rack you will find a volume knob. This will raise, lower, and mute the volume coming through the ceiling speakers when audio is being played from the shared device. When the light indicator is red that means mute is engaged. Please do not adjust the volume directly on the TVs.

Powering Down

- When users are done sharing content to the TVs, do not power down the metal equipment rack. Instead, log-out of the computers and power off the TVs using the two Samsung remotes.

- Using the volume control knob on the metal equipment rack, you can raise, lower, and mute the volume coming through the ceiling speakers. When the light indicator is red that means mute is engaged. You do not need to adjust the volume directly on the TVs.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

No content being displayed on the TVs

- Confirm the correct input is selected on the switcher at the top of the metal equipment rack.

Mac stations: Inputs 1-13

BluRay player: Input 14

ShareLink: Input 15

HDMI cable: Input 16

- Confirm the TVs are on the correct input (HDMI 1/DVI).

No audio coming through ceiling speakers

- Confirm the volume mute isn't engaged on the metal equipment rack (red light means mute is on). Also, confirm that the volume knob isn't set to the lowest setting.

- On the device being used for sharing, you may need to go into the audio settings and select Extron D as the output device. Also, confirm that audio on the device being used for sharing isn't muted/low.

Metal equipment rack isn't receiving power

- If you aren't seeing lights on the metal equipment rack, it may have been shut off. There are 2 master power switches on the rack > confirm those are on. They should not be shut off after use.
