Basic steps to use the Cleary Hall AV system:

- The touch panel for the Lecture Hall lights is on the wall of the stage nearest the lectern. There is a basic ON function as well as advanced lighting controls. You will probably only need to turn it on to get the lighting you would like.
- Tap the spacebar to make sure the computer is on. If it is not for some reason, there is a button on the side of the computer screen (it is an all-in-one computer) to power it on.
- On the touch panel on the lectern, press the button to turn the Full System On.
- Make sure that "Stage PC" is selected on the touch panel. That sends the signal from the lectern computer to the projector and the sound system.
- Test the sound of the computer as well as the Internet connection by playing a video on YouTube. If the sound seems low, first check the computer volume (speaker icon on the bottom right of the Desktop on the computer). If it appears to be at a good volume (50-75%), then use the buttons on the touch panel on the lectern to adjust the level going to the system.
- You have a podium mic and wireless handheld mics. These mics also have a volume control on the touch panel.
- At the end of your session or if you need to reboot the system, there is a System Off button on the touch panel. Press that, then confirm. Once the system is fully shut down you will be back at the main start screen.

*If you encounter any issues, the first things I would recommend checking is that there are no audio/mic or video mute buttons lit on the touch panel. If you are having any other strange issues and cannot seem to get anything working from the instructions above, if you open the front door of the lectern there is a main red power button. Flip that off, count to 10 and then flip it back on. This should bring the system back up and will resolve most issues.*

Overflow Mode - This option is allows the live audio and video from the Lecture Capture System to be presented in any or all of the Hempstead Commons Seminar Suites (Rooms 214, 215, and 216). This option needs to be activated in the seminar suites and can NOT be activated from the Cleary AV control panels.

Send to Lobby - This option is allows the live audio and video from the Lecture Capture System to be presented in upper lobby of the Hempstead Commons and one of the screens in the Eat Cafe'. Mute Delays - The sound system for this room was designed with the need to cut back audio so that events in the Cleary Lecture Hall do not disrupt different events in the Seminar Suites. By engaging this option, the ceiling hung speakers aimed at the back seating areas will be turned off.
